Hornbill MD, Russell Scaplehorn meets Ieuan Wyn Jones from Welsh Government Assembly Minister at the launch of the Huntsman Chemicals, Aoleus Project. The plant manufactures laminate resins for wind turbine blades. Hornbill were awarded the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Installation contract.

Hornbill were commissioned to move a number of water units from difficult to access areas for one of our ongoing clients. Our local assembly member Dr. Brian Gibbons and colleagues from the Welsh Assembly Goverment visited Hornbill last week.

They wished to meet local businesses to gain greater understanding of the company, its needs and also our opinion on possible government cutbacks.

Hornbill have been awarded its largest High Voltage installation contract for some years at a power station being built in Pembrokeshire.

Our contract consisted of software design, panel manufacture, installation, and commissioning the Electrical and PLC software control system. Hornbill have recently completed a refurbishment of two large incineration systems for one of our ongoing clients.

Hornbill celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a Dinner Dance held at its head Office. The workshop was transformed for the evening into a remarkable venue, for its 100 guests.

Hornbill have been accredited to run courses for City and Guilds 2377-11 Management of electrical equipment maintenance and 2377-12 Inspection and testing of electrical equipment. These courses enable you to manage PAT testing and undertake PAT testing.
