Hornbill are proud to have sponsored Rhiannon Jones to undertake country work in Ghana. Whilst there Rhiannon made a real difference, working in hospitals and remote villages prescribing patients with much need malaria treatments. In addition Rhiannon worked in a leprosy village, cleaning wounds and changing bandages of those with leprosy. Without this much needed aid from Rhiannon and the rest of the voluntary team patients would not have had much chance of survival against leprosy. Continue reading

Following the recent expansion of the Hornbill Industrial Training facilities, work has begun to renovate the building. The revamped training facilities will offer 2 new training rooms/ 1 large training room with a high level acoustic foldable screen; 2 new CompEx workshops for electrical and mechanical CompEx; a specialised PLC training lab, offices and an expanded fully updated computer suite. Langage Energy – High Voltage Renewable Energy Project CompletedLangage Energy Park is a large development incorporating the Centrica owned Langage Power Station and Langage Solar Photovoltaic Site. Hornbill were commissioned to carry out the high voltage installation and maintenance work at both major sites. Work included routine high voltage maintenance of all step-up generating transformers, station maintenance transformers and service transformers. In addition to this we were largely involved with initiating the electrical infrastructure of the photovoltaic site. Continue reading
